Abstract painting 30" x 24" x 1.5"
Acrylic on canvas
This painting was inspired by Joyce's long-time fascination with the works of Canadian artist Jean Albert McEwen.
While the work is predominantly red, there are variations of reds, dark orange, dark blue, black, and a bit of gold that are seen as a result of the multi-layer technique used. The work is highly textured and much of it was painted using a palette knife.
The painting is ready to hang with a wire attached. The gallery-style canvas has sides painted in black to complete the look.
This painting has been created using professional acrylic paint. A thin layer of professional satin varnish has been applied for protection
